HOW uplifting to read the letter from Roger Bampton and the joy he experienced at the Salvation Army recently (Letters, October 13).
At 82, it shows that it’s not too old or too late to experience the love of God through His worshipping people.
Sadly these days the average person is quite indifferent to the things of God, and has no concept of what Christ Jesus and Christianity is all about, and yet, like Roger, a whole new world can be theirs if only they would receive it.
His phrase ‘what life is all about’ is exactly the words I used some 30 odd years ago when God’s spirit touched my spirit and brought me to real faith in Him. God bless you Roger .'
