SEVERAL letters to these pages have mentioned the state of Southampton in regard to litter.
Unfortunately we have no one else to blame except the public.
One such member was being driven to work on the Nursling Industrial Estate on Wednesday at about 3pm and was in the vicinity of Redbridge roundabout when the passenger discarded his meal wrapper etc out of the moving car window into the highway.
The passenger was in his late teens/early 20s and I am assuming the driver was his mother, who did nothing to prevent this littering.
The vehicle registration has been passed on to the police.
Words fail me.
Southampton used to be a very clean and tidy city, and while people like this remain unchallenged it will always remain a literal dustbin for the ignorant.
