The new idea of no tax disc is not going to work, especially if you are disabled.
I have an exemption from tax due to my disability but whilst parked in a disabled bay at Sainsbury’s in Poole on November 1, I put my blue badge up and did my shopping, only to be confronted with a parking ticket saying my car was untaxed as I had changed tax class on October 30.
I did not get a tax disc back as the changes to car tax started on November 1. I now have a car which I am scared to use in case I get another parking ticket.
Even the police have no idea how I am supposed to prove my car is taxed, which means any time I park in a disabled bay no matter where I am I am likely to get a ticket.
The Government has not thought about how this change will affect people like me who rely on their car for their daily business.
