So the local council have done a U-turn over the laser.
I don't think that the Echo helped in this new venture. The original pictures showed a beam getting ever wider like a search light, whereas laser beams are, as seen in the latest photographs, just very thin beams of light. Even the Echo changed the pictures.
I am not saying the project was financially sound, but was dropped by the mass histeria brought about by a false description in the first place.
The council is in a no win situation. Carry on ignoring the public; or postpone it and get derision from the press.
PETER WILLIAM PAYNE, Curdridge.
