I WAS so sad to see the story of the mum and eight pups just dumped, and the horrid state they were in.
I’m an animal lover and no dog should be treated this way; there’s always help.
I would like to rehome one of the dogs but don’t know who to contact.
I know they have been through an ordeal and will take time to recover.
It is good you are getting posters out. I hope the person responsible will be found and prosecuted for this behaviour.

OF COURSE it is very regretful that those dogs were abandoned in a very neglected condition as reported in the Echo on January 22 and 23.
On January 23 the report of a dead man discovered on the beach at Weston Shore on Thursday morning covered about a single column space in the Echo.
The more than tenfold difference, in favour of the news about the animals, between the Echo space devoted to these two items on January 23 is an interesting reflection of the apparent priorities in our society.
Maybe the politicians hoping to be elected in May are missing a trick here!
