A PRIZE-WINNING British pedigree herd was recently destroyed on EU orders because (allegedly) some of the cattle's EU identity cards were wrong.
DEFRA seized Cheshire farmer David Dobbin's paperwork and ordered him to identify his cows in 48 hours (or else)! Imagine trying to identify 567 cows! On 16 hours a day that's one every three minutes!
Predictably DEFRA seized the cows. Sadly despite a High Court stay of execution, the confused, confiscated cows became distressed and ill and DEFRA (using its EU power for the first time) destroyed the entire herd on March 8 and 9 on welfare grounds.
No wonder British farmers are committing suicide and our farms are vanishing. I believe that's the EU's aim, for how else will sufficient building land be obtained to house millions of EU workers entering Britain?
I blame Tory leaders who betrayed us to the EU.
