THERE is so much conflicting information that the world populous does not know who to believe. Constant problems such as, is global warming man-made or a natural phenomena or who is telling the truth in the Middle East conflict or is bird flu a pandemic in waiting that we should take seriously or not or what is the real truth concerning future energy demands and the capacity to satisfy this.
These and other major world problems that reside on the near horizon will have a direct effect on the human experience, but where with so much conflicting interests that abound, who is right.
That is why nations need a completely impartial and independent global advisory body so that fact can be separated fully from fiction.
If not, the world will definitely take a wrong turn at some point in the first quarter of this century and where this will be a totally catastrophic event for humankind.
Unfortunately politicians still take an insular nationalist view and where the wider interests of the world are secondary.
This mindset will eventually bit back at us in a very big way and where people will then ask, why were we not better informed and advised.
Unfortunately again, then it will be too late, as humankind will no longer exist.
The sooner, therefore, that politicians place world issues first and nationalistic interests secondary, the probability of human survival becomes far greater.
But where converselym of course, the continuation of domestic self-interested policies over the solution to primary global problems will hasten the total disintegration of the human experience itself.
Overall, the writing is on the wall.
