WHILE we await our future under the cloud of what remains of New Labour, I fear for our future.

How is it possible that Gordon Brown could be any better than Tony Blair when it is proved both suffer any real credibility, with the present leader taking us to war that is costing millions per day and young lives which in my opinion is a crime.

Regarding his so-called Prime Minister in waiting, he has proved how good a Chancellor he is by selling off a huge amount of our gold reserves for a knock-down price, robbing our pensions etc, and still tells us how prudent he is, and the Bank of England now runs the financial control. What a load of codswallop!

We need a general election as soon as possible and we might be fortunate to elect a group of people who are honest, upright, and run the country for its people, which, of course, lets the Conservatives out.

HUGH CLEVERLY, Fair Oak.
