MY brother, in the RAF, was posted to Christmas Island for 18 months, 50 odd years ago, and he told of numerous nuclear experiments offshore and the effect on the troops (part of the tests) and the island.
At that time I felt a sense of unease, not only to the future of human beings but to the environment.
This leads me to the question: what effect has nuclear tests, rocket space exploration and wars done to our environment? It puts our jolly jaunts by car and by aeroplane abroad into insignificance.
The public can do their best to cut carbon emissions but have any governments and scientists admitted to their excessive damage with carbon emissions bombing to smithereens other countries? And I would like to know how much may be attributed to global warming.
I feel we need an explanation and dig deep into this and perhaps we can proceed with our dustbin recycling and the war lords can do their bit and stop damaging our world.
