I WAS out with my children in Riverside Park and a member of the public came up to me regarding the encampment there by travellers.
She had said that quite a few of the local householders had tried in vain to talk to someone at the council regarding problems they had.
The council kept passing them from pillar to post so I said that because I have recently been in contact with the council regarding the issue I would pass on some details.
You can e-mail: inclusion@southampton. gov.uk or ring 023 8083 3888 and ask for Steph Smith who is the gypsy liaison officer .I'm sure she will be only to happy to assist.
