MY letter crticising Hythe certainly stirred up a hornet's nest, or should that be crow's nest!
When I read the responses to my constructive observations of the village they all seem to miss the point.
Hythe has so much to offer, but scenic views, a new library or watching cruise liners is not enough to attract visitors.
Step back and have another look at the High Street and the tatty entrance to the pier. Rather than air your blinkered views defending your village, put your energy into improving it.
Lobby your council to invest in the future prosperity and wellbeing of Hythe, you and your fellow residents will ultimately benefit.
Then you will attract more visitors to what used to be a beautiful area.
In the meantime I'm off to Lymington for the day!
H TENNANT, Cadnam.
