WHEN will effective steps be taken to solve the long-standing problem of gangs of motorcyclists riding on Lordshill recreation ground by Brownhill Way?
The weekend before last saw about a dozen youths and up to eight motorcycles, scramblers and go-karts racing over what is supposed to be a public amenity site for football, rugby, dog walking etc.
Pedestrians were having to take extreme care to avoid being hit by these off-road bikes and dog walking is hazardous to say the least. One dog has already been hit and there was another near miss recently.
Seizing and immediate scrapping of these bikes, most of which are unlicensed, would be a start.
