ON April 21 I decided to use the bus to go to the football match at St Mary's.
My four boys and I waited for the 1.08pm service but it did turn up, so we waited for the next at 1.28pm and again no bus came.
The newly installed display said the bus would arrive in two minutes, then it went back to 20 minutes.
When the bus did arrive at 1.58pm another came!
I asked the driver what happened to the 1.08pm bus and he said this is it was down to the football fans for making the bus late.
That could not be correct as we were stood they for an hour.
He did not even say sorry for being an hour late. How can it be the passengers' fault?
I could have walked to the game and back in the time I was waiting.
I will never use the bus again.

A spokesman for First said: On April 21 many cross city services were disrupted as a result of an incident in Shirley. The bus scheduled for 1.08pm at Sholing was cut from Townhill Park to the city as it was one of the affected services. The bus at 01.28 was running very late due to the same incident. However, regardless of the affected services, this does not excuse the driver's remarks. The driver will be interviewed and further action taken.
