I CANNOT be alone in my disappointment over the lack of candidates available (Totton East ward).
As such, I was denied exercising my democratic right to the full because no one seemed to represent my view.
There was little option for me, other than to place my voting paper in the box unmarked.
Having now consulted the full list of candidates across the New Forest area, I am also concerned at the number of married couples who were standing for election in the same or adjoining wards.
Surely such practice is unethical in that it conflicts between personal and political activities?
Neither can I understand why Totton resident Robin Harrison is allowed to stand as a candidate in Brockenhurst.
Call me old fashioned, some would say logical, but people should only be allowed to represent the towns and villages in which they live!
