WHILE putting my baby into the car at a Hedge End superstore, I noticed a couple without children parked in a parent and baby space.
I shook my head in a disapproving manner at them, to which the driver explained why he was parked there, His justification for occupying this much needed and wider space designed for parents with small children, was that if he didn't park there his car got damaged by people opening their car doors.
So the next time you have to park in a narrow space, and struggle to get your children in and out of the car, I'm sure you will take comfort from the fact that this man's car is safe.
