I HAVE stumbled upon a solution that is so simple it has baffled me why the scientific community has failed to arrive at a similar conclusion.
I was on Southampton Common with my husband and our conversation ran through how nice it was for us to be able to stroll through the Common in the evening now that it had become lighter and how warmer everything had become, suddenly it dawned on me.
We have been told by the media how the global temperature has continued to increase through the 20th century and after a little research I have discovered that British Summer Time was introduced in 1916.
The weather has become warmer since March 25, when BST started this year and surely it is no coincidence that the weather has become warmer after we have been given an additional hour of daylight.
Over the past century the additional hour of daylight has been the equivalent of an additional two years of warming on this planet so I am not surprised temperatures have continued to soar.
The solution is simple, remove BST and every day the world is spared an hour of catastrophic warming!
