I SHOULD like to reply to Derek Marshall's letter, and whole-heartedly agree with him.
When and if Scotland becomes a nation in its own right, will all the Scots (hopefully) return to this wonderful homeland they like to brag about but rarely return to. We English can live in hope.
I admire Alex Salmond, the leader of the Scottish Nationalists, for what he is trying to do.
I wish we had a Knights Templar to protect us English, and fight our corner like Mr Salmond. Perhaps Mr Marshall will fit the bill, but until we find some one we have to put up with the likes of Blair and Brown, and most of the Scottish MPs.
At the moment we have a Scot as first minister of Scotland and a Scot as Prime Minister of England, who would like to be President of Europe.
We were promised a referendum on this con-trick of a constitution, but as usual with the Democratic Union of Europe or to put it another way the Forth Reich).
Where Blair gave most of our rebate back to the open coffers of Europe that we in UK are forever filling up.
Who gave that right to an upstart like Blair to just sign it away? It's not democracy but hypocrisy.
Everything with this government is done underhandedly. For instance have you notice once more in the budget, not even a penny on the price of Scotch. How many budgets is that without an increase, and is it significant?
If the BNP was not so violent they would certainly have mine and a lot of other people's vote.
The two biggest con tricks in the history of the UK is metrification, where we went to bed with 240 pence in our pockets, and woke up with 100. Amazing.
The second was being conned into the ECC. We were told it was just a business market, an the majority believed it. Well that's life I suppose.
Now we have to believe that we in England don't need our own Parliament and are better off being told what to do by the Welsh, Scots and Irish.
I for one don't believe it, and the sooner we have our own Parliament the better.
I wish more Englishmen would stand up and be counted and express their views in print.
Just imagine what we in England could do with the £12 billion extra that is given to the Scots each year. Perhaps we could put extra in our hospitals, or the police or do what the Scots do and have our elderly in homes that they don't have to pay for, or our children have free university education, the same as for the Scots.
In my view it is all out of proportion. It would be nice to award us a massive pay rise as these politicians do, or give the pensioners on state handouts a proper amount to live on. Perhaps one-day politicians will have to live in the real world, until then we the peasants will have to live in hope, and hope for our own England and a new St George.
