WHY is life made so difficult for pedestrians?
I would like to be able to walk in to Southampton but all the time I encounter bullies on bikes who think it is fun to scare pedestrians. Why are cyclists allowed to get away with this behaviour?
The parks are becoming no-go areas for pedestrians because of these riders.
While waiting at the Cenotaph bus stop, cyclists zoom out of the park, not looking, dash out in front of buses and cars, then through the next park. No thought is given for anyone except themselves.
The pedestrian area in Above Bar is always dangerous because of these bullies. The roads are empty yet cyclists dominate the pavements. Why is this allowed?
Now cars use the pavements as parking areas - outside the Hobbit pub, in front of the shops in the Avenue, and again no action is taken.
Is it not time to fine cyclists at least £100 for riding on the pavement?
Why are cyclists not fined for cycling across pelican crossings? They dash out and expect vehicles to stop so they can cycle across pedestrian crossings.
Why do the cyclists have the inside area of the pavement on the Avenue? Then cars are parked in the tiny portion of the pavement left for pedestrians. Why is Southampton so difficult for pedestrians?
