AFTER reading the letter from Mrs K Bricknell, we cannot believe that our father and grandfather, Sidney Norris, was treated on the same ward, F2.
We thank everybody for looking after and caring for him until he died on May 11.
All the staff on the ward gave him dignity and peace throughout the last weeks of his life.
Sid was clean, shaved and properly dressed at all times. His privacy and dignity were maintained throughout his stay.
He needed a lot of care in the last week of his life and without the dedicated staff on this ward our family's peace of mind would have been shattered.
Even if the ward was short staffed it had no impact on the care.
The ward was also very clean and the staff were meticulous with their hand washing.
PAULINE DREW, Eastleigh.
