I WAS at a wedding reception recently when the groom's elderly grandmother complained she was sitting in a draught and would like to move.

Imagine my consternation a few minutes later when, because it was a non-smoking venue, she was standing outside in a force eight gale having a cigarette with the rest of the smokers.

I think the new smoking ban will throw up more strange situations like this when it comes into force.
