I took my grandson to the Maritime Museum. I was shocked to find that part of the exhibition was taken up with the activities of the gay fraternity aboard ship and ashore. I feel this has no place in a museum, especially when you have school parties visiting. Southampton Docks, I would have thought has a lot more history to promote other than the gays.
As a senior citizen of Southampton I have enjoyed many trips to the local museums, but never come across anything so disgusting. I was so disappointed I felt I had to air my views. I also note that you now charge for something that used to be free for all to enjoy.
