WHILE I am most happy about the work being carried out at the top of the Sholing Valleys I would like to point out that the Environment Group is not the only group carrying out work in Sholing, but in fact just a part of it.
Sholing Valleys, an Environmental Study Centre in Station Rd, near Miller's Pond, have been looking after the environment in the Sholing Valleys and Miller's Pond area for nearly 30 years, and as of August 20 as a registered charity. We are the oldest Environmental Study Centre in Southampton and on average run four clean-ups per year and another six events for the community. We are at present in the process of renovating the building to provide more space and facilities for the community and hence are not able to run our full programme of events this year , but if you are interested in learning more and helping please contact me through our website at www.hants.org.uk/sholingvalleys or at the centre.
