IN answer to the letter titled Fun? Stop it at all costs dated May 17th.
I would like to say to P Billows that the person who wrote this letter about fireworks going off every time a cruise ship is in, has a point. It is not a matter of being a spoilsport or not being able to have fun. It is a matter of having some consideration for animals that get very frightened and babies, that may have just been able to fall asleep to the relief of their tired parents, and also old people that are not very well.
The animals probably run off with fear.
The babies wake up crying and the parents have to spend more time getting them back to sleep.
The old person who is not well made to feel worse because they too have been woken up by loud bangs. All in the name of so called fun.So Mr P Billows these so called moaners just want a bit of sense and consideration for others is that asking too much?
MRS KINCH, Southampton.
