NOTING that Norah Goss stood, and won her seat, on Southampton City Council as a Lib Dem, I assume that she will now resign and then fight the seat as a now, self-proclaimed, Independent. Or perhaps as a Conservative, the party she now seems to support.
One could, of course, ask if it is honest, or morally right to stand for election as a representative of one party, then change once one is elected? But then, when has honesty or morality figured in either local or national politics?
I await the announcement that a by-election is to be fought in the interest of the local electorate and basic honesty. Though, I shall not, of course, be holding my breath.
A CAWS, Aldermoor, Southampton.
