IN response to my letter about the Sholing Village Green, Chris Fry of the Sholing Valleys Study Centre quite rightly pointed out that the Sholing Environment Group is not the only environmental group in Sholing.
We acknowledge this and have not and would not claim otherwise.
The study centre does excellent work in educating people about the environment, while our group tends to concentrate on the physical maintenance of the environment in Sholing. The two should compliment one another.
Unfortunately, Mr Fry's letter gave the impression that the two groups are rivals. He may feel this, but as far we are concerned this is certainly not the case, nor do we wish it to be.
Several people are members of both groups, and work in a spirit of mutual co-operation between groups for the benefit of the people of Sholing.
CHRIS BARKER, Sholing Environment Group.
