Many programmes have been spoilt by over-loud background music, mumbling, and subtitles that are out of sequence with the spoken word.

Now we have another distraction, what I call ‘the background voice’. This comes in the form of some toneless moron, who will state, example “now the detective looks out of the window”.

I can see the detective is looking out of the window, I do not need to be told!

Now where is that radio?
