THERE has been a lot of correspondence recently regarding the Human Rights Act, but I feel it’s worth pointing out that having introduced it into British law, Tony Blair promptly bombed Iraq, followed by David Cameron bombing Libya and Syria, so obviously the right to life is optional to Governments, to be ignored as and when they see fit, as the Human Rights Act was originally intended to prevent Governments from treating people with contempt or as pawns in their larger political games I would conclude that it has been a failure and needs to be replaced.
