I THINK A Corbishly from Hythe has made a very simple mistake.

The “toneless moron” is actually performing a very valuable service for many blind and partially sighted viewers.

I think the writer has inadvertently activated 'audio description' on the TV.

AD is a hidden track which provides a very helpful commentary for visually impaired people, this makes otherwise meaningless programmes accessible.

The solution is simple: Go to your TV's menu, find accessibility settings and switch off audio description.

You can do the same with subtitles.

Blind people value this service, skilled actors provide it, you don’t need to get wound up about it.
