I was reading Fred Dinenage's column in the Daily Echo's Weekend Magazine and must say found it a little disturbing. I In it he said that one of his daughters asked him why he was giving up smoking at the age of 65 when he didn't have much time left anyway.
If one of my children had said that to me I would have been quite hurt, not to say affended, but Fred seemed to treat it as joke. Is it me or did any of your other readers comment on this matter.
