EX-pat Scot Gordon Waugh praises the Scots for helping to pay for the Dome fiasco (Letters, June 20), and sees no wrong therefore in English taxpayers paying £50m into the Scottish NHS to fund treatment denied to us down south.

I wonder if he realises that we also paid good money into the Dome, a fiasco for which two Scots, Blair and Brown, were responsible.

Mr Waugh seems to think I am influenced by a tabloid newspaper, that I never read, to dislike the Scots.

As this would mean disliking my wonderful parents I can assure him he is completely wrong in this respect.
