OUR new Prime Minister Gordon Brown has spent ten years being a major player in a Government that has allowed terrorism to breed and flourish, so, what's he suddenly going to do now, that's going to be any different?
Whatever he does won't it be a case of stable door and horse?
Mr Brown announced a National Security Committee would be set up. But without reworking the restrictive Human Rights Act, the NSC is likely to be left completely helpless when it tries to deport those who preach evil and carnage against us.
Mr Brown needs to acknowledge the damage the Human Rights Act has inflicted on our ability to deal with terrorism and start acting solely in our best interests rather than focusing on the human rights of those who plot to kill and maim innocent people.
The answer surely is to drop the Human Rights Act and leave the EU.
TERESA RUMSEY, Lymington.
