THE cost of a local authority search in Southamp-ton is £192, yet in Eastleigh it is only £137, in Winchester a mere £118, in New Forest a modest £80 and in Portsmouth an absolute bargain at £50!
Southampton should be ashamed that it is fleecing homebuyers and sellers in this way.
