TIME to claim back some powers from the centralised Brussels bureaucracy.

For reasons that I do not understand, the future of Europe has found its future in the hands of the centralists and not the federalists.

However, I believe that the time has now come for the federalists to exert themselves and negotiate back some of the powers that have been transferred unthinkingly to a centralised body.

On reflection, it is realised that these powers should be under the control of the United State of the United Kingdom.

We would not go far wrong if we accepted the federal constitution of the United States of America as our aim for Europe where most of the power is under the control of the 50 individual States.

I know that there are some who think that we could carry on as a completely separate 19th century country but those days have been over for almost a hundred years when the Inter-dependent State became necessary for mutual protection.

I would now ask, nay, beseech our politicians to start applying their minds to this urgent matter very soon.
