I aURGE you to take part in the British Heart Foundation's Hearts First Goodwood Cycle at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, near Chichester on Sunday, July 22.

The event is being run by the nation's heart charity to raise money to fight heart disease - the UK's single biggest killer.

In the UK, almost 600 sons, daughters, mothers, fathers and friends lose their lives every day to heart and circulatory disease and we all know someone who has been touched by the disease, so it is important that local people get involved to lend their support.

This fun annual cycle ride is ideal for families and teams. The route around Goodwood is 2.4 miles per lap and is safe and traffic free. Participants can do as few or as many laps as they like. I have attended and supported the event for the last two years and the atmosphere is great.

Goodwood is a unique and special location and the ride is an ideal way for people to get their own hearts beating, as well as raising vital funds for lifesaving research.

The Goodwood Cycle starts at 10am (registration is from 9.30). To take part please call 0808 100 2109 or e-mail east@bhf.org.uk. Contact the BHF today to register, get sponsored and get on your bike to save lives!

Please get involved and help if you can - together we can beat heart disease.
