WOW what an event! Hythe really does need congratulating on Saturday's Harry Potter Day.
All the shops and their staff participated in what can only be described as fun for all the family.
Despite the weather the witches and wizards were visible everywhere and I'm sure I spotted Harry, Ron and Hermione in the crowds.
My granddaughter is only two-and-a-bit but she enjoyed every minute of the treasure hunt, including the odd sweet here and there and a drink of delicious dragons blood, courtesy of the Tia restaurant.
A trip on the Hogwart Express, formerly known as the pier train, rounded off a fabulous celebration of the release of the last Harry Potter book.
JACKIE RICHE, Hythe.
