I READ Julie Adamson's letter Where Are Supporters? (July 21) with great interest.
I suspect the majority who went to see AFC Totton play at Wembley did so because it was a cheap day out, and to see the new stadium.
Support seems to have waned because the Pink Celebration Ball was cancelled after only 30 tickets were sold. Even support from club members, players and committee members failed to materialise. I wonder why?
Could it be the pressure Linden's are putting on the club to move, and in a way they would prefer to stay where they are? Who bought the 30 tickets, Linden Homes?
Supposedly 224 people registered their support for Linden's proposals on the NFDC website. The ball lacked support, so how can we be sure the 224 people who registered support for Linden were genuine supporters?
I have objected to all three applications that Linden Homes have submitted.
A G SHEPHERD, Totton.
