A LOT of people I know in Southampton are at last unable to tolerate those in authority allowing builders and contractors to knowingly destroy much that is old in this fair city.
We have endured bombers. But why do we have to endure the destructive whims of mainly our own country folk? What a war did not achieve, they are gradually, brick by brick, stone by stone, achieving the selective destruction that the Nazi bombers aimed for in the 40s.
I feel that if enough people air their opinions, we can take positive steps to stop the negative steps of big business and ultimately Southampton and its seemingly lackadaisical council.
