IN the light of the recent floods, it seems strange that the Government is not ruling out any further housing development on flood plains.
Maybe we could be learn from our European neighbours. In Holland, you can buy homes in areas prone to flood, for about £190,000. It's a sound investment because the homes float on the water when it rises and settle back down when the water recedes. An idea worth floating here, I think.
