I THINK it is time for serious thought and planning to be put into car sharing schemes.
My elderly mother is diabetic, and has to have her evening meal at a certain time. This means that if we go out for a trip, we have to return when when there is most traffic. It is very galling.
Do we all want to go on in daily misery, wasting precious time sitting in queues of vehicles, of which more than 80 per cent seem to contain one person only? It is utter madness, and would be laughable if it wasn't so frustrating.
