ON what seemed the first sunny day of the summer, I took my dog for her usual walk at Boltons Bench in Lyndhurst and was greeted by selfish and inconsiderate tourists.
It was 8am and these people had parked (I assume all night) their car and attached caravan across at least four spaces in the car park and had set up their table, chairs and cooking equipment, again all in the car park.
They had music blaring away and were cooking breakfast, oblivious to the nuisance they were causing.
The man then emerged from nearby bushes, enough said...
I am happy to encourage responsible tourists, however health standards must be observed and controls put in place to eliminate problems with left over food, human waste etc.
We parked in one of the other car parks but when we were leaving at 9am the other car park was already full and these people had still not moved.
It's about time patrols were put in place, as there is constant camping and caravanning in the Boltons Bench area during the summer.
