IN the Daily Echo report about Gang Warily Gym plans (July 30), Councillor Eddie Holtham referred to the Fawley Parish Council Lib Dems as "quite inexperienced''. Of the nine Lib Dems four are or have been county or district and past parish councillors.
Centre manager Kevin Lobley said "We just don't know what will happen'''. Yet on June 27 he invited Councillor Dunsdon and myself to look over the old gym to see the improvements he had in mind, including using the old sauna area to enlarge the gym to incorporate machines suitable for disabled users.
Both of us liked his ideas which would make the area bigger and a lot brighter. He also said access was difficult. He must have not noticed the lift outside his office door.
No Lib Dem was asked to make a comment, otherwise the Daily Echo would have been informed that we will have a good gym with good access for disabled users.
