THE disclosure that police chiefs and the Crown Prosecution Service want DNA samples taken for petty offences such as dropping litter, not wearing a seat belt and numerous other non-recordable offences, comes as no surprise.
We have Copper's nark living among us. On July 5 a letter was printed in the Daily Echo from a New Forest District Councillor who advocated the DNA profiling of babies at birth.
If we allow these people to get away with their crazy ideas, the microchip implanted into the human being will not be far behind.
