FOLLOWING on from the letter regarding poor attendance at some performances of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, we took our granddaughter on the afternoon of Thursday, August 9 and were pleased to see the theatre was full.
The show was excellent and well received by adults and children alike.
However, I do agree that the seats are very expensive. There only seems to be a reduction for children in the rear stalls or balcony. It must also mean that for families that are not well-off it is completely out of their reach.
Wouldn't it be nice if low-income families could get a special rate so that children from all walks of life experience live theatre?
