Unsightly city skyline I ATTENDED a function at Jurys Inn, Southampton. Disregarding the chaos caused by roadworks opposite the entrance to the hotel on the roundabout, I drove into the entrance area and continued round the outside of the hotel, expecting to find the car parking advertised by the hotel only to end up on an unfinished piece of land which continued on round to a pedestrian way!
On entering the hotel I found a brochure which showed that I should have continued further round the roundabout, and turned 180 degrees round to find the underground car parking.
Would you believe that this entrance was through the proposed site of the ice rink?
Just look up and observe the unsightly skyline we are producing in Southampton. It really is a shame.
