I WONDER if anyone remembers Woolworth's in Above Bar, Southampton, when we had to walk across wooden floors to get to the shop.
When the sirens went off the doors were closed and we had to wait for the all clear.
When the new shop was being built I was old enough to work there for two years. When this store closes it will be the end of an era.
