I SYMPATHISE with the correspondent suffering music noise from antisocial neighbours (Letters, August 9). I have had a similar problem for about a year. My next door neighbour puts a low-level computer generated noise through the dividing wall. Sometimes this can go on non-stop for days at a time. Going to sleep is nearly impossible and I have lost a job through it.
I have contacted 101, the police non-emergency number, on countless occasions, and environmental health. The advisors at 101 have plenty of sympathy. The police call it noise nuisance and pass me on to environmental health who call it harassment and therefore a police issue.
Moving and medication are not options so can anybody suggest a solution?
