WHY has there been all the publicity fuss about Elvis Presley 30 years after his death? He was never in the same league as, for example, talented singers such as Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole and there has never been any memorial mania (for want of a better phrase) since their deaths.

Perhaps this is because they simply entertained and did not feel the need to prance about on stage to exercise their hips and impress those young females in the audience.

At least they are remembered, as are their songs, as genuine singers and not for, chiefly, guitars and farcical antics.

Regarding the Elvis Presley memories, I hope there will not be similar pathetic reaction after the demise of Mick Jagger and Elton John!
