MY 87-year-old father and an elderly neighbour of his in Hedge End recently became victims of conmen who force their way into people's houses under the guise of Neigh-bourhood Watch and rob them of what they can find.
If a vigilant neighbour had not heard what was going on I dread to think what would have happened.
These people are the dregs of humanity who prey on the elderly and defenceless.
This is the third time it has happened to my father.
He fought in the war for freedom and was awarded the British Empire Medal for bravery, only to targeted by this scum.
When is this country going to wake up, scrap human rights and fight for the rights of law-abiding innocent citizens?
Hedge End beware, they seem to be targeting this area, the old and frail most at danger.
MARILYN BESSANT, Southampton.
