A RECENT poll found that 81 per cent of Britons want a referendum on the revived EU constitution, in line with the manifesto promises made by all the main parties at the last general election.
So readers may be interested to hear that there are now plans for a major London rally to press our claim for that referendum, Hyde Park having been reserved for Saturday, October 27.
Details are available on the Pro-Referendum Rally website, www.proreferendumrally.co.uk, where it is also possible to petition the Prime Minister to honour the referendum pledge which he (like all the other Labour candidates) freely gave in 2005.
Alternatively, those without convenient Internet access could ring me on 01628 773235, and I would put details in the post.
