I MUST defend Elvis Presley as he was a very misunderstood personality.
To most non-fans, like Jack Walker, all they see is what was on stage.
Elvis led the way for music as it is today because he dared to be different. He broke away from the mould of the crooners to give the world something totally new.
I love to listen to Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and the rest and I have their records in my collection.
I appreciate Elvis is not everybody's cup of tea but before you condemn him investgate what he was like as a person. He was generous to a fault and an ambassador for charity. He had a fantastic range to his voice and could sing any style.
